Are you an experienced business developer with experience selling technology and services within the life sciences industry?
We’re supporting one of our cutting-edge technology clients in their search for a full-time Sales Account Executive. You will need experience in sales into Clinical Trials to be considered for this role.
Reporting to the SVP Sales, the role would suit an individual with a track record of lead generation, account development, and the ability to exceed business development targets. You will need to be able to function independently with minimal oversight, be well organised, and able to demonstrate a customer centric problem solving attitude. This role will require travel within the UK and globally.Note this is a permanent full-time position working directly for our client and although their offices are based in Cambridge, this can be a fully remote position.
You will be responsible for the identification, qualification, and development of new sales opportunities and new customer accounts, and you may also take full or partial responsibility for existing accounts. The role will be a pivotal function in the Sales team, and will involve working closely with the Marketing, Contracts, Finance, and Operations teams in order to strengthen and accelerate the pipeline of new business.
Key responsibilities will include:
Generating New Business:
· Charged with generation of new business using existing and potential customer networks. Identify and pursue growth opportunities to improve the pipeline of new business
· Profile accounts to determine fit with targeting criteria, value proposition, and solutions.
· Identify and contact key personnel within target accounts, including email, social media, and telephone.
· Qualify target accounts by engaging with key personnel to understand their current position, capabilities and needs.
· Develop detailed Account Development Plans and map solutions to target accounts needs.
· Participate in sales events and meetingsPerformance Tracking:
· Provide regular and accurate feedback on new business generation activities through regular, structured reporting of metrics designed to monitor the new business pipeline.
· Capture contacts, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system to ensure regular and accurate status reporting.
· Set and monitor account / customer targets
· Track sales metrics to ensure consistency, effective follow up and achievement of business goals
Customer Relationship Development:
· Management of existing or new customers to achieve long term success and business growth
· Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through confident, valuable, and professional communications with account personnel.
· Act as a primary contact for customers by demonstrating an understanding the customer's business strategy, market position, and organizational structure
· Set and monitor assigned account targets and metrics. Record and report through CRM systems.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
· Work closely with the Marketing department to understand and promote the companies marketing messages.
· Work with Marketing to ensure all leads produced are quickly and effectively followed up with to ensure no loss of momentum.
· Work cross functionally to develop comprehensive budgets, proposals and presentations that directly address customer needs
